You’ve been eagerly awaiting another episode in the erotic adventures of Olivia and Nicholas, haven’t you? Well, darlings, I know it has been a while, but here you go.

Fresh from her first scene with Nicholas, Olivia is confused by her own reaction to it, so she does what any reasonable person does these days — ask the Internet! Of course, when you set out to research kinky topics in public cafes, you always run the risk of being discovered, sometimes by an ex-boyfriend you’d really rather not see.

Check out the latest episode of Switch in Reaction and Research.

After her first-ever spanking (at least, as an adult), Olivia decides to turn the tables on Nicholas and bend him over the bench, but of course things don’t turn out as she plans. Is Nicholas just humoring her? And when he takes back control, how will he punish her? More to the point, will she enjoy it?

As promised in the previous installment, together our heroine and hero turn up the heat. Fair warning: the action gets quite a bit more explicit in this scene. 18+ only, please!

This installment is a bit longer than the previous ones so far, at about 6500 words, and it’s already a continuation of the same scene that started in Safewords and Spankings. I considered breaking it down further, but I felt that would disrupt the flow of the narrative too much, so I hope you will forgive the length here. Actually, I hope you’ll be so caught up in the story that it will be a fast read!

Roughly the final thousand words of this scene appeared previously as a guest post on Tamsin Flowers’ Superotica blog in her 2014 Advent Calendar, alongside many other highly talented writers, an honor I treasure to this day. If you aren’t already familiar with Tamsin’s own work — well, why aren’t you? She’s one of the hottest writers in the genre today. And if you haven’t read her 200,000 word magnum opus, Alchemy xii, then I strongly recommend you give it a shot. The “prequel” chapter is available as a free download from Amazon, so you have nothing to lose!

Meanwhile, on with the story! Catch up with Olivia in Cuffs and Clamps

Safewords and Spankings

ropeWell now, this is unusual. Yes, that’s right, I’m posting two story excerpts in one day. I know, I know, I’ve been averaging something closer to one every three or four weeks, and now two in one day?

I couldn’t help myself, as I’ve been looking forward to putting out this next bit for a while. Why? Well, because we are turning up the heat! Yes, shorter portions of it have appeared in these pages before, but this is now unabridged, as they say. Uncut.

If you’ve been following the story so far, then you know that Olivia has returned to the C-Spot and re-encountered Nicholas, fresh from teaching a class on ropework. Yes, that kind of ropework. Olivia can see the student models exiting the class, flushed and glowing, and she doesn’t know exactly what went on, but she knows she wants a bit of whatever they have. So when Nicholas invites her to see more, she throws caution to the wind.

What happens next? Dive right into Safewords and Spankings and find out!

And hold on, because it’s only going to get steamier from here.

Olivia Returns to the Club

party-girlThe heady emotions of the Grind and meeting Nicholas have left Olivia rather confused, so after a bit of a break, she heads back to the C-Spot to confront him and find out if there is really anything between them. When she arrives, however, she is frustrated to find the club’s schedule doesn’t revolve around her. Enter Walter, doorman/psychiatrist, to provide some much-needed perspective.

Continue the unfinished (and yes, unpolished) story of Olivia Strong and Nicholas Paine with Return to the Club, or start from the beginning with Switch.

A School for Kinky Stuff

The next few installments of Olivia’s story are available!

When last we left her, Olivia had gotten herself into a bit of a sticky situation involving a set of handcuffs and a missing key. Wishing to learn from her mistakes, she talks to her friends, who are shocked! Shocked, I say! to find their dear Olivia has such interests.

Ahem.

Well, she does have such interests, doesn’t she? But, of course, she is very new to this new world, and in need of a little direction. So, she drags her friend Ashley off to find a local club that offers…. lessons.

Follow along in our unfinished, abandoned story of Olivia and A School for Kinky Stuff.

Or, see all the scenes published so far, in Switch.

Alchemy xii

My name is now in print in a book you can actually buy! Or, well, download to your Kindle, because the book is free. Now before you get too excited about that comment, no, I do not mean that I have finally published something to Amazon. Soon, I hope! Some day…

However, my dear friend Tamsin Flowers, whom I have talked about before in these pages and with whom many of you are already familiar, has done something I did not expect, something that took my breath away when I saw it.

Tamsin, of course, has published quite a few books. She is a prolific and fabulous author, and her works are both kinky and quirky. There is usually a lighthearted tone to her erotica, and a lot of fun and whimsy, though occasionally she goes to something a little darker, and that’s pretty exciting, too.

Now she is embarking on something a little different, a little retro you might say, hearkening back to the days of the penny dreadfuls and when many novels were published in serial form in the pages of magazines and newspapers. She is writing a great omnibus of a book, Alchemy xii, and publishing it one month at a time, in thirteen installments. The first installment, the prologue to the series, is titled New Year’s Eve, and although it was intended to become available on December 31st, it is in fact available on Amazon now. For free.

Which means you really have no excuse not to download this book to your Kindle immediately. If you do so, and you go to the back of the book, there is an acknowledgments page. Four people are acknowledged there for their assistance helping Tamsin make this book the best it could be. Three of those names are probably no surprise to anyone following along: Malin James, Jade A Waters, and Eva Gantz. Malin and Jade are published authors, Eva is a standout in the publishing industry, and all three are popular bloggers or podcasters who have worked with Tamsin for some time.

The fourth name is Lace Winter.

Me. Alongside these greats. Included in Tamsin Flowers’ new book.

All I can say is that I feel incredibly honored that Tamsin asked me to help, and humbled to be included.

But we’re getting ahead of ourselves. The acknowledgments are at the back of the book. You really should get there by reading the book. You will want to read this book, the prologue and every installment. My name is in there because I believe in this book, because it truly is excellent.

In fact, my first ever Amazon review on any book is for New Year’s Eve. There will be more (I have a small backlog of books I loved that I want to go review), but there can be only one first.

So what is it all about? Well, it’s a ‘club BDSM’ story, and of course there have been many of those (I love reading them myself), but Alchemy xii goes a bit beyond that. The Alchemy of the title is the club itself, a near-mythical place occupying several floors atop a tall skyscraper in downtown Chicago. ‘Alchemy xii,’ or Alchemy 12, is the name of the club’s submissive training program, a year-long program in which a small handful of very lucky subs participate, at the end of which a number of opportunities may open up for them. Not all of them will complete the program. The head of the program, and Chicago’s ‘Prince of Kink,’ is Harry Lomax, a Dom a bit unlike most you will have encountered in fiction before (and probably outside of fiction, too). Harry is a very compelling character, not a cookie-cutter at all, complex and with his own little quirks. He’s not perfect, in the sense that he’s a human being, too, and this just makes him all the sweeter in my view. He’s also not pure Dom; he has a switchy side to him, in the right circumstances, and New Year’s Eve gives us a hint of that in his interactions with his boss and friend, Belladonna Grim. However, when he’s with his subs, there is never any doubt about who’s in charge, and whatever doubts and anxieties Harry may have, he won’t let them show here.

New Year’s Eve is told from Harry’s point of view and is the story of how, with a matter of only a few days and then just hours to go before the start of the new training program, he still has one trainee slot to fill. Enter Olivia Roux. Harry spots her while canvassing other clubs and immediately knows she’ll be perfect. He also knows he has to approach her just right, or she’ll run, because she’s new to this scene. In this installment, Harry courts Olivia for his program, although he doesn’t tell her until just a few hours before the deadline — Midnight, New Year’s Eve — what is really going on. Then the question is whether she will accept on such short notice, or will she turn him down?

Olivia herself is not pure sub, and this is something Harry sees in her early on, though she doesn’t know it yet about herself. Olivia is also a bit switchy. She definitely thinks for herself; no pushover, our Olivia.

The suspense, of course, is whether Olivia will accept, but it’s probably not much of a spoiler, because the rest of the series will be Olivia’s journal entries as she recounts and reflects upon her experiences. Oh, and yes, I’ve had a sneak peek into January, which will become available on January 1st, and I am not going to give anything away except to say that you will absolutely fall in love with Olivia when she finds her voice, just as you will fall in love with Harry in New Year’s Eve. You will want to be Olivia when she first experiences Alchemy.

Tamsin Flowers has worked her process and the result really is something special.

Olivia and the Advent Calendar

Superotica Advent Calendar 2014

Today I am a guest over at Tamsin Flowers’ blog Superotica, #14 on her Advent Calendar. Tamsin has featured another excerpt from my work-in-progress, Switch, with the continuing adventures of Olivia Strong.

Yes, that’s right, Tamsin has herself just published a story featuring another submissive named Olivia — Olivia Roux — and there are even a few other similarities between her Olivia and mine, though this is entirely coincidental. The similarities end there, but I like to think that if her Olivia and mine were to meet they would be friends. I think they would. I am going to post later in much more detail about Tamsin’s Olivia and her fabulous new serial novel Alchemy xii.

Today, however, I want to talk about Tamsin’s Superotica Advent Calendar. Every day from December 1 through December 24 she is posting a new story or excerpt, almost (and so far) entirely by guests, not by herself. Each story is accompanied by a picture (usually) selected by Tamsin, and she has been choosing some very interesting ones! This is in part inspired by Alison Tyler’s October post Power On, and in part just Tamsin’s own generous nature shining through, but her goal is to showcase a number of writers, some well-known and others up-and-coming, whose work she enjoys. I can tell you, there have so far been some amazing pieces featured, and it has become a regular feature for me every morning to read and enjoy the latest. So far, we have had:

  1. Alison Tyler – A Brief Distraction
  2. Saskia Walker – Monica’s Secret
  3. Justine Elyot – Hearts and Diamonds
  4. Ella Dawson – Promises
  5. Kay Jaybee – Santa’s Little Helper
  6. L Maretta – Falling From Disgrace
  7. Lana Fox – Cream: An Erotic Romance
  8. Molly Moore – Secret Santa
  9. Oleander Plume – Chemical [se]X
  10. Jade A Waters – Fertile
  11. Sommer Marsden – ‘Tis The Season
  12. Janine Ashbless – The Military Mind
  13. Delilah Night – Plunder
  14. … Me!

To say that I’m a little nervous, being in amongst some very famous names here, well, it’s a bit of an understatement!

In this excerpt, which takes place shortly after the most recent excerpt I’ve posted here on my own blog, things between Olivia and Nicholas have definitely heated up. I hope you enjoy it!

I also hope you enjoy all the other fine writers who have been featured so far, and will be featured in the ten days to come, of the Advent Calendar. No, I do not know who the remaining ten writers will be, just as I did not know who would come before me until each day when they appeared.

Thank you so much, Tamsin! You’re an absolute doll! ❤

You Are Mine

A tear fell from her eye and slid ever so slowly across the curve of her cheek, pooling in the downturned corner of her mouth. He pulled her into his embrace and kissed the tear away.

“Are you so very disappointed in me?” she asked, gazing up into his eyes, trying to discern his thoughts there.

“Do I seem disappointed?”

She thought about everything that had just happened, turning it over in her mind. She had been so absorbed in her own experience of events, so focused on her own feelings, that she hadn’t really paid attention to how he seemed during it all, what he might be getting from it. She was mostly aware of what he was doing, of how it impacted her — and how those impacts felt — and not so much of how he might be feeling. Now she recalled the intense concentration on his face, the firm yet gentle touch of his other hand, and she realized he had been fully present in the moment, completely focused upon her, while she had selfishly spared thoughts only for herself. A fresh sense of unworthiness and selfishness washed over her, and once again she could not understand his interest in her, despite the evidence of his caring embrace, his soothing touch, his loving kiss. She sniffled softly before replying.

“No. No, you don’t, but I don’t understand why you put up with me. I’m so selfish! You are so good to me, and I don’t do anything for you, and, and… and no wonder I needed this, deserved this, what you just did, when you… I didn’t pay any attention to you! I should have been thinking about you, but all I could think about was what was happening to me, and when your hand… when it would…”

“Hush.” He put a finger to her lips, quieting her, cradling her on his lap. He kissed her brow and slowly her breathing calmed. “You were perfect. You gave me everything I could possibly desire. You lost yourself in the experience, gave yourself over to me completely, and that, my darling, is more beautiful to me than you could imagine.”

Again she found herself lost in his eyes, looking for what he wasn’t saying but finding only honesty there. With a start she realized that she trusted him completely, knew with every fiber of her being that he would always take care of her. She wanted to wrap her arms about him and hold on tight, never let go, but of course that wasn’t possible yet. She lay her head against his chest, curling herself in his lap, and he held her more tightly. She could feel his heart beating strongly beneath her cheek, and she marveled at the power he wielded over her. With a single word he could calm her fears. With a single touch he could inflame her passions. With a single glance he could hold her soul.

She wriggled against him, settling in comfortably, and she felt his heart race within his ribcage. Experimentally, she wiggled again, and again his pulse rate shot up. She smiled to herself, marveling at the power she apparently held over him, too, her doubts evaporating like summer rain steaming under the hot southern sun.

“Careful, pet, or you’re liable to get me started all over again,” he said with a soft chuckle, and that thought only made her want to wriggle more. She turned her face up toward his, and he leaned down to kiss her lips, long, languorous, and slow. Now she really wished she could wrap her fingers in his hair, twining them in its silky black length, caressing the touch of grey just beginning to show at his temples, but she contented herself with inhaling his breath, tasting his mouth, parting her lips to tease the tip of his tongue with her own.

She felt just a twinge of discomfort from her sore bottom, but that reminder only served to ignite further flames within her. The twinge and her reaction didn’t escape his notice, and he responded by taking her mouth even more fiercely, crushing her lips with his kiss, taking her lower lip between his teeth and biting to just the edge of pain. Briefly she wondered if afterwards her lips would also be bruised, sore, and red, but then she ceased all thought as he renewed his advance, crushing her thin body against his with the ferocity of his embrace.

After an eternity that flashed by in an instant, he withdrew and they both caught their breaths, panting from aroused passions. He kept her gaze locked on his eyes, lifting a hand to push back a strand of hair falling across her face.

“Do you still wonder if I’m disappointed with you, my pet?”

She smiled, all fears laid to rest. “No. No, I don’t.”

“And are you disappointed with me?”

“No, I am not.”

“Good, because I plan to keep you for a very long time.”

She squirmed again in his lap, happiness settling over her, suffusing her through and through.

“Ok, I don’t think we need these any longer,” he said, reaching around behind her. “But first, pet, what are you?”

She knew this game. She liked this game, and now she knew it wasn’t actually a game.

“I am yours.”

“That’s right,” he said, as he unlocked the cuffs from her wrists.

“You are mine.”
