What is flash fiction? An often-repeated definition generally centers around any short piece of about a thousand words or less, but I tend to think of it more as something created quickly — in a flash — in one sitting. For me, flash fiction is the expression of an idea or a sentiment into a short and emotive standalone scene. It builds quickly to a climax, and like any good climax, it leaves you wanting more and feeling satisfied all at the same time.
Call it a quickie, if you will.
Let’s enjoy a few quickies together.
