I’m baaaack!
I’ve been away on a little holiday… ok, a bit of an extended holiday… ok, pretty much all of February. While I was away, I also took a holiday from most things online or electronic, which I admit was a difficult decision, but a good one. I recommend it once in a while!
And, of course I came home to more than 500 unread emails. I still have a lot of sifting and sorting to do there, so I’ve got my work cut out for me. If you sent me a message, email, Twitter, comment, etc, I will get back to you, it just may take me a bit to get to them all.
Where did I go? I’ll have more to write about that, but here’s a little hint:
So excited to hear about your vacation, Lace!! Welcome back ❤

You came to Hobbiton and you didn’t even tell us?
Welcome back, I missed you! ❤

To be fair, I was there for family reasons and didn’t have much leeway for when or where I went around. I thought about you! But I knew there would be no chance. But yes, we snuck out for a morning and visited Hobbiton.

Heh, mostly boring family stuff, with an occasional touristy aside. So… I’ll make something up! That’s what writers do, after all. 😉

I missed you, but completely understand the need for a break, I’ve taken one occasionally myself. Glad to see you back!!

I waffled about taking the laptop on the trip, but in the end decided against it. As it turned out, there wouldn’t have been time anyway; I was completely busy almost the entire time.
Not sure why one of your comments got stuck in approval and a minute later the other didn’t; weird.

Hi, I’m really impressed that you managed to go through a month offline – I struggle to manage more than a few hours! How did you manage it? (Nice to have you back online, by the way!)

Heh, well, there are withdrawal symptoms at first — itchy fingers looking for a keyboard to pound away at, that sort of thing. But after a while you sort of get used to it. The hard part then becomes getting back into the habit on return! But it’s kind of like riding a bicycle… you never really forget how, you just need to get back in practice.

So jealous. 🙂
But I’m glad you had time to get away and recharge the batteries!
I myself have been away-ish from the writing since January, which is when I was supposed to get back into full swing. It is tricky, but as you say, a little bit of practise and it’s almost like you never stopped!

Thanks! Trying to dig myself out of a mountain of responsibilities and carve out a little time where I can.
